The tech guy handling her computer looked at Wilder, like he was waiting for some kind of approval. And when he got it, he turned to Mallory.

"Yesterday, I got notified that some customer databases had been released to one of our rivals - the Wyatt Enterprise. I ran a search and..." He angled the computer to face Mallory.

Mallory realized fear had been a stranger to her until that instant. It gripped her like an icy hand, halting the rhythm the of her heart and disconnecting her feet from the ground.
