“Thank you,” I said quietly as the stranger pulled his Honda to a stop right in front of my house.

He used one hand to pull his hair back and then, smiled at me. “There is no problem, miss. The whole thing was too insane and it would be best if you remained indoors for sometime. There are bad people hanging around so much these days.”

I nodded thinly. “True, but I was the one who went to a club, so there is nothing much to expect from it. I’m sorry for wasting your time, and thanks once again,” I said slowly.

The stranger nodded. “You’re welcome, miss.”

I stepped out of the car, not bothering to ask him what his name was. I honestly did not care. I had lost my bag in the roar, and I still don’t have an idea what happened at the club. There was nothing I wanted more than to know if Nathan was ok. It worked me up so much that I had not been able to help him.
