As Kate tended to her wound, the room reeked of chlorhexidine. The only light in the darkroom came from the cracked wood in the hearth. Tonight was one of the many nights she had that terrible dream, but this time it felt so real that she woke up with wounds on her left arm. Little Kate was only eight years old when she lost her family in a cold massacre in her hometown, where they had lived before she moved to this new town. The only thing she remembered was having blood on her hands that day. It is still one of Kate's most painful memories, and it comes back to her from time to time. Kate walked into the mansion, fascinated with everything she saw. The beautiful large fountain at the center of the compound, and the smaller one in the garden added to the beauty of the mansion. The beautiful flowers and the well_trimmed fields that surrounded the fountain gave it a peaceful warm look. Her head bobbled as she continued gawking at everything she saw. The demon continued fighting with the man, not backing down. He kept on throwing more knives and balls of fire but before they got to the man, they disappeared. "I see you're awake" All the nerves on Kate's body turned alert. She slowly turned to face the monster that kidnapped her, but what she saw was a different person. The man standing in front of her is beautifully handsome. His eyes had the darkest shade of red, his pointed nose was specially carved straight down to his thin red lips. He was the definition of beauty with his long silver hair that reached his shoulders.
