"Actually, Selene, I was thinking we should get the cake from that bakery across town," Maya interjected, her tone eager.

Selene's brow furrowed in confusion. "Across town? Maya, that's quite a distance. Are you sure?"

Maya's enthusiasm didn't waver. "I know it's a bit out of the way, but trust me, it's worth it for that cake."
