Chapter forty-four

Cecelia pov

I was waiting on this stupid and dirty path again. Since I got to shadow pack, because of this stupid girl, I have done a lot of things I would never ordinarily do.

Mosquitos were biting me again, but I could not leave; instead, I was sitting here and waiting for that girl named Christina again. She was running late again.

From afar, I saw her. I pretended I did not see her and headed to the bush.

"Cecelia, Cecelia." She called and ran after me, trying to stop me, but I continued going. When I got to where I wanted, I grabbed her and then slapped her twice. One on each cheek.

"What did I tell you about being late? I could kill you right now for leaving me in the cold again."

She shook her head and said, "I'm sorry I got held up in traffic when I went to the pharmacy."

"I'm tired of stupid excuses, bitch," I yelled, and I slapped her.

She winced in pain, and I shot her a daring look to hit me back if she could.

"What are you going to do, bitch?" I yelled, daring her to do
