Chapter Forty-Seven

"The fuck," I said and sat up immediately. Hayden must have set the alarm to wake me up; I turned it off and then laid back down. I was so tired, and my body felt like a train had run over me, but when I looked at the clock, it was already eight in the morning.

I looked at my side, and Hayden was no longer there. When I listened, I did not hear any sound from the twins, which also means that Hayden or Shantel must have already sent them to school.

Hayden was out again. He was so busy with a new project and had to work for the time he took off, so he hardly came home in time. Last night I noticed when someone opened the door and came in, but I was too tired to get up, so I just laid there while he got into bed.

Claire was going to come to the pack tomorrow, and I have not talked to Melinda and Hayden about my plan. I needed both of them for my plan to work.

I managed to get off the bed and headed to the children's room to make sure that they were not there and that someone remembered
