I had a plan with a Strange Woman

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her—a woman in a sorcerer costume standing beside Master Cyrus in our secluded training ground. My heart skipped a beat as I tried to process the sight before me. Who was she? What was she doing here? The questions swirled in my mind like a relentless storm.

Master Cyrus, ever perceptive, must have noticed my surprise. He called out to me, breaking the spell of astonishment that had taken hold of me. "Anna!" he called, his voice laced with urgency. I quickly gathered myself and made my way towards them, my eyes never leaving the mysterious woman.

Master Cyrus introduced her to me, revealing that she was a sorcerer who would aid us in our mission. It was a daunting task—to infiltrate the Moonlight pack and convince the Alpha that his son, Leo, must not reject me as his mate.

Mixed emotions surged within me. Excitement tinged with trepidation coursed through my veins. This mission held immense significance, but its success was far from certain. The weight of the responsibility settled upon my shoulders, and doubt began to cloud my thoughts. Could we truly accomplish this task? Or were we doomed to failure?

Sensing my apprehension, Master Cyrus turned to me, his eyes filled with conviction. "Anna, trust in the power of the sorcerer. She will weave a web of illusion so intricate that even the most discerning eyes will be deceived. Our plan will work."

His words offered a glimmer of hope, like a beacon cutting through the darkness. I clung to his reassurance, determination blossoming within me. I would put my faith in this sorcerer and give my all to ensure the success of our mission.

As time slipped away, I realized I had lingered longer than I should have. I bid Master Cyrus farewell, knowing I had to return to my duties as a maid in the Alpha's palace. The weight of my everyday obligations tugged at my conscience, reminding me of the delicate balance I had to maintain.

Hurrying back to my room, I wasted no time and prepared myself for the day ahead. I drew a warm bath, allowing the soothing water to wash away the remnants of disbelief and uncertainty. I needed to be focused, composed, and ready to face any challenges that lay ahead.

Once dressed, I donned the simple maid's uniform, a disguise that cloaked my true purpose. It was a constant reminder of the secrets I held and the risks I faced. Every step I took was carefully measured, every word I spoke weighed against the consequences it might bring.

The palace bustled with activity as I made my way through the grand corridors. My fellow maids hurried alongside me, their laughter and chatter filling the air. I blended seamlessly into the background, my true intentions hidden beneath layers of mundane routine.

As I entered the Alpha's study to begin my tasks, my mind wandered back to the sorcerer. I wondered what role she would play, how she would carry out her deception within the Moonlight pack. Her abilities were beyond my comprehension, a realm of magic I had never encountered before.

The day unfolded in a blur of tasks and responsibilities. I meticulously dusted shelves, polished surfaces, and attended to every detail with unwavering dedication. But my thoughts never strayed far from the mission at hand. I yearned for news, for any sign that our plan was progressing as intended.

Leo sat in his study, engrossed in a book on ancient mythology. His thoughts were consumed by the tales of heroes and their quests, providing a temporary escape from the complexities of his own life. As he turned a page, the door creaked open, and he looked up to see Jason, his best friend and confidant, entering the room.

"Hey, Leo!" Jason greeted with a warm smile. "What's been keeping you buried here all day?"

Leo closed the book, returning the smile. "Just lost in the wonders of mythology, my friend. It's a nice distraction from the real world sometimes."

Jason chuckled, taking a seat across from Leo. "I can understand that. So, what's the latest news in your world?"

Leo hesitated for a moment before deciding to share his recent encounter. "Well, Jason, something unexpected happened to me on the last full moon night. I met someone."

Jason's eyebrows raised in curiosity. "Someone? A new friend, perhaps?"

Leo shook his head, a hint of excitement in his voice. "No, not just a friend. It's a woman. A potential mate, as they say."

Jason's eyes widened, his surprise evident. "That's great news, Leo! Congratulations! Tell me more about her."

Leo's excitement was momentarily dampened by the next revelation. "She's a maid."

Jason's expression changed from joy to confusion. "A maid? Are you sure? I mean, it doesn't matter what she does for a living, but it's unexpected, isn't it?"

Leo sighed, running his hand through his hair. "I know, Jason. It caught me off guard too. I guess I had certain preconceived notions about who my mate would be, and a maid wasn't part of that picture."

Jason leaned forward, concern etched on his face. "Leo, have you spoken to her? Have you accepted or rejected her?"

Leo shook his head. "No, I haven't done anything yet. Truth be told, I was just pissed off that day. I didn't handle it well. I only told her that I needed to think about it"

Jason sighed, placing a hand on Leo's shoulder. "Leo, you can't let anger cloud your judgment. You need to figure out what you want and how you feel about this situation. Have you talked to her since then?"

Leo's gaze fell to the floor, a sense of guilt creeping in. "No, I haven't. I've been avoiding the situation, and it's eating me up inside. I don't even know what to do."

Jason's voice softened as he spoke. "Listen, Leo, you need to confront your emotions and face this head-on. Ignoring it won't make it go away. You owe it to yourself and to her to have an honest conversation."

Leo looked up, gratitude shining in his eyes. "You're right, Jason. I've been running away from it for too long. I need to sort this out and make a decision. Thank you for being here and giving me the push I needed."

Jason smiled warmly. "That's what friends are for, Leo. Now, go find her and talk to her. You never know what might come out of it."

After a while, Jason stood up, preparing to leave Leo's study. "I'll leave you to your thoughts, my friend. Remember, you have my support no matter what you decide."

Leo nodded appreciatively, watching Jason exit the room. Once alone, he leaned back in his chair, contemplating his next move. He closed the mythology book, realizing that his own story was far more complex and uncertain than those he had been reading.

As he sat there, a myriad of emotions washed over him. Confusion, fear, and a glimmer of hope intertwined within his heart. He couldn't escape the thoughts of Anna, the maid he had encountered on that fateful full moon night. He wondered what she was doing at this moment and how she felt about their brief, tumultuous encounter.

The decision weighed heavily on Leo's shoulders, but he knew deep down that he couldn't ignore it any longer. With a resolute sigh, he pushed himself away from the desk, determined to find Anna and confront the whirlwind of emotions that plagued him.
