A sudden twist??

Leo was standing in front of me. I couldn't believe my eyes. What was he doing here in the first place? My mind raced as I tried to make sense of the situation. It was then that it occurred to me what was actually going on. The realization hit me like a bolt of lightning.

Leo stared at me, his eyes filled with disbelief. He uttered words that sent a chill down my spine. "So you are my mate?" His voice trembled with a mix of shock and confusion. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"Wait, who are you?" With a fierce look, Leo asked me.

I mustered up courage to reply to him and told him my identity in the palace. I stammered and replied "I… I am a maid in the palace."

Leo's expression changed, his gaze hardening. "I can't believe a maid is actually my mate, a whole Alpha's son like me." His words struck a nerve, reminding me of the vast divide between our statuses in the pack.

His words stung, and I felt a surge of hurt rising within me. I had never asked to be a maid, nor did I choose my circumstances. But I couldn't let his words discourage me. I mustered up all my courage and replied, "It doesn't matter what my position is. Fate works in mysterious ways, and if it has chosen us to be mates, then maybe there's a reason for it."

As much as I dislike him and don't want to have anything to do with him, I won't accept defeat and wouldn't want to be rejected shamefully.

He seemed lost in thought for a moment before finally speaking. "I just need to think about this," he said, his voice tinged with uncertainty. Without another word, he turned and left for the palace, leaving me standing there, still in disbelief.

I rushed back to my room, seeking solace in the familiarity of its confines. My mind was in chaos, thoughts swirling like a tempest. Leo being my mate was something I never anticipated. It was a twist of fate that seemed impossible to grasp. I collapsed onto my bed, hoping that sleep would provide clarity and respite from the overwhelming uncertainty.

After a while, exhaustion engulfed me, and I drifted into a deep slumber, my mind still filled with questions and uncertainties. As the first rays of dawn crept through the curtains, I awoke, just as I always did, for my training with Master Cyrus.

The training grounds were drenched in the golden hues of the early morning sun. Master Cyrus observed my presence with an intensity that hinted at his knowledge of the events that had unfolded. I couldn't keep it to myself any longer. I needed guidance and counsel.

Taking a deep breath, I recounted the events of the previous night, watching as Master Cyrus absorbed every word, his face a mask of contemplation. Silence hung in the air for what felt like an eternity, as if time itself paused to consider the weight of our conversation.

Finally, a smile tugged at the corners of Master Cyrus' lips. "This is actually good news, Anna," he said, his voice carrying a sense of reassurance. My confusion deepened, struggling to understand how this could be considered good news.

Master Cyrus continued, his words measured and deliberate. "If Leo accepts you as his mate, it will grant you unprecedented access to the palace. You will have the opportunity to penetrate deeper into the inner workings of the pack, gaining valuable insights and information that we can use to our advantage."

His words resonated within me, and I began to see the silver lining amidst the storm. Leo's acceptance of me as his mate could be a blessing in disguise, a doorway leading to a world of secrets waiting to be unraveled. But we needed a plan, a way to ensure Leo's acceptance.

Master Cyrus leaned closer, his voice lowered to a whisper. He shared his plan with me, and a glimmer of hope ignited within me. It was a risky endeavor, requiring careful execution and perfect timing, but it offered a chance to forge a path forward.

As Master Cyrus finished outlining our plan, a smile crept onto my face, mirroring the confidence that now coursed through my veins. This unexpected turn of events had given me purpose, a renewed determination to fulfill my revenge.

As the sun climbed higher in the sky, casting its warm glow upon the training grounds, I embraced the weight of my newfound purpose. The winds of change whispered through the trees, and I vowed to seize the opportunities that lay before me, for the sake of our pack and the untold future that awaited us all.

After I was done training, I went back to the palace for my duties, and also awaiting the result of the devised plan with Master Cyrus. I went around doing my duties and I was grateful that I didn't come across the Alpha's son, Leo throughout my day.

After the whole day's stress, I resigned back to my bed in my abode and my mind was still clouded with the thought of Leo being my mate. After a while, I was able to sleep.

When I woke up that morning, a familiar excitement coursed through my veins. Today was another day of training, another chance to hone my skills and push myself further. The air outside was chilly, but that never bothered me. In fact, I relished in the crispness of the morning air—it sharpened my senses and made me feel alive.

Without wasting any time, I dressed in my training attire and made my way towards the secluded training ground.

As I approached the cave entrance, a faint sound reached my ears, distinct from the usual silence of the area. It was a voice, but not the deep, commanding voice of my mentor, Master Cyrus. This voice had a different quality to it, one that I couldn't quite place. Curiosity piqued within me, and I quickened my pace, eager to discover the source.

Entering the cave, I was met with a surprising sight. Standing near the training area was Master Cyrus. But he wasn't alone. By his side stood a person I had never met in my life.
