Under Glass III

Gerald sat across from Eunice in a restaurant far away from home. He had invited her out to lunch because he needed some answers and he believed she could give them to him because she was his wife's closest friend at the moment.

“Why are we here Gerald?" Eunice asks after they've made their food order.

“I have some questions I believe you have answers to." He tells her.

“About what exactly?" She probes.

“Victoria." He answers simply, his gaze holding hers intensely.

Eunice shifts uncomfortably in her seat, trying to gauge Gerald's intentions. She braces herself for the impending conversation, uncertain of what he might already know.

Gerald clears his throat, his expression serious as he leans in slightly. "Eunice, I need to know about Victoria's recent activities. I've noticed some changes in her behaviour, and I can't shake the feeling that something's not right. You're her closest friend, you must have some insight."
