Chapter 7 – Iris: The feeling
Suddenly my eyes snap open I gasp for air remembering the searing pain in my hand. Slowly a warm calm wave flows over me and I register someone’s hands on my cheeks. Wait I recognise that face…
“J….Johnny? What are you doing here?” My voice came out in a whisper.
“Rae is my sister and this is my museum.” He smiles at me I look over to Rae and I can immediately see the resemblance now. “Oooh…” I look back to Johnny who still has his hands on my face and I immediately start to blush at the awkwardness, he must realise he is still holding my cheeks and he blushes too and slowly lets go. I clear my throat. “So anyone care to tell me what the hell happened??” Johnny runs a hand through is hair and grabs a stool to sit down. As I watch him something deep inside me stirs and I can see his aura so clearly. It’s the most beautiful aura I have ever seen in my life. When I awoke at 6 it felt like my head had only just hit the pillow. I still felt exhausted. My body ached all over and my hand was throbbing. I probably should rest some more, but I really wanted to spend more time with Johnny and Rae. I loosely tied up my hair and took a couple of pain killers, and grabbed a shower to wake myself up. I reluctantly agreed to drop Iris back at her hotel after seeing the doctor. Even Jackson had worries. I’ve known Jackson a long time he helps out the pack whenever needed. Sunlight streamed into the room bouncing off my face, I could feel its warmth blessing my skin. Johnny’s arm wrapped around my waist, comforting sparks rushing throughout my body. We were so exhausted last night we didn’t even both to dress again after showering. Last night was incredible it chased away all my fear and anxiety that was hanging over me. I made sure to be up and ready bright and early. Dad and Rae were going to come with me to the airport. Will was going to stay with my mom and Iris at the pack house. Mom had made us all a huge breakfast pancakes and waffles, with fruits and syrups. It was delicious as always, but it didn’t cure the huge rotating knots that constantly rolled in my stomach. We took my 4x4 SUV so there would be plenty of space for Iris’s dad and son plus any luggage. I was still nervous, I so desperately wanted to make a good impression I made sure I wore smart but casual clothes. My dark jeans black timberland boots, dark navy shirt and my trendy jacket. I wasn’t sure if Iris’s dad would be old fashioned so I buttoned my shirt all most to the top to hide my tattoos, I know it makes me look a little like a bad boy, but that’s the look I was going for as a young twenty something. But now I needed to be smart and respectable. We say good bye to my mom and head on out.
