30. Abandoned Mates

EVA POV

The day which I prayed that should never come. This day is the last day of us together. I was trying very hard to not think about the coming day but my mind kept wandering about how I was going to take it. Jake wanted to make this last day memorable. We came back to our country. Jake will be taking me to a place which is going to be a surprise.

"Jake, why do I feel that we are in wolf territory?" I asked. Jake was driving the car and I sat silently in the passenger seat.

"We are", he said. I had this crazy urge to ask him where we were going but I restrained myself.

"Be patient for some more time", he said.

"I'm patient. I didn't say a word", I argued.

"I could figure out what was running in your mind", Jake said in a sing-song tone.

"Whatever. You better drive faster", I muttered looking away. It is still dark outside as there was one more hour before dawn.

"On it Princess", he chuckled and pressed the accelerator.
