Chapter 41

You know nothing ever goes the way you want it to. You may have planned out your life but destiny always has something else in store for you.

I stood over Jason’s grave with Suzy by my side. We had a funeral for all lives lost in the final fight. It was our turn to lay our flowers on his grave.

‘I will miss you’ she said dropping hers before leaving

I knelt down in front of it

‘Hey, I don’t really know what to say in these kinds of situations but’ I took a moment to calm myself

‘Thank you, if it weren’t for you I might not be where I am right now. You’ve helped me plenty and I’m sorry I couldn’t do much for you at the end’

I closed my eyes as tears fell remembering his last words “raise a good kid alright?”

I dropped my flowers ‘I will’ I said sniffing

I joined Suzy and we went back to the pack house.
