OLIVIA
"Fuck, she moans loudly. She really does. I just had to shut her up with a kiss," Aiden rambles, chuckling. "I know I am good in bed, but I didn't want her to put me in trouble by moaning so loudly.""And yet, she used to pretend to be the holiest girl in the whole college. What a crazy hypocrite!" My sister, Sarah laughs.I clench my fist. Is this what I get by agreeing to come to school with my sister and her jerk of a best friend who can't stop talking about his sex escapades?I almost let out a hiss. All they've been doing since we left my house is talk about sex. Can't they talk about books? Can't they talk about sci-fi movies? Can't they talk about animes?I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I should not blame them. They're not like me. It's my car I should be annoyed with. If it had not broken down this morning, I wouldn't be in this crazy situation."Get a grip on yourself, Olivia. I'll survive this ride," I mutter under my breath. For a moment, the car is silent. I heave a sigh of relief, and glance up at my sister. She's busy with her phone, not bothering to look up from the screen. I guess that's what is keeping them so quiet this time around. I hope they'll stay silent like this until we reach our college.I can feel a pair of eyes on me as I cross my legs. I look in the rearview mirror, and meet the gaze of two warm brown eyes, like a flame burning low and slow. He gazes at me through the rearview mirror, his eyes intense. Then he looks away to focus on the road, but I can feel his eyes returning to me a moment later.A knot of butterflies twists in my stomach. I bite my bottom lip, turning my gaze out the window. What's happening to me? Why does my heart flutter and my stomach twist everytime our eyes lock?Aiden Blacksmith. Handsome face. Biggest player I've ever met. He plays with girls' hearts like football. Always having new flings every week.He is my sister's best friend since high school, whom I haven't really interacted with. Whenever he comes over, I've always been in my room. Whenever I run into him by chance, all we do is to exchange quick glances."Oh shit!" Sarah blurts out, jolting me out of my train of thoughts.I turn my eyes to my sister."What's the matter?"The words come out of my mouth in unison with Aiden's. I glance into the rearview mirror, and his eyes are piercing into mine. I feel a rush of heat rising to my cheeks, turning away from him. What the hell is wrong with me?Sarah begins to gather her things. "I have to catch the next bus. I have to meet with my best friend – her dumb boyfriend just broke her heart," She utters.A line appears between my brows. "Wait, you are going to skip your classes because of that?" I blurt out before I can stop myself.Damn, that's insensitive. I should not have said that. It's too late. I can't take it back.My sister spins around to face me, I know I have upset her."You've never had a boyfriend before, so you wouldn't understand how it feels to have your heartbroken," Sarah bursts out. "My best friend's heart just got broken, and you're worried about missing boring class. Really? You can tell our dad I skipped if you like."I swallow hard. "I'm sorry," I murmur, biting my lip to keep from breaking down."That is all you say after messing up," Sarah retorts.I feel tears welling up in my eyes, but I refuse to let them fall. I know I mess up a lot, but did she have to bring it up now?The cars pull to a stop, and Sarah gets out, giving Aiden a quick hug before closing the door behind her.Now that my sister is gone, I'm left alone in the car with Aiden. I know the ride to school is going to be as silent as a graveyard, and I like that. I stare out the window, as the car begins moving.I squeeze my eyes shut, enjoying the warm breeze blowing my hair gently. It feels like peace. It feels like the old days before my mom died.I missed her so much. My mom."When did you cut your hair shorter? And, why?"A husky voice jolts me from my reverie.I swallow a gulp down my throat. It was Aiden."I wanted something shorter," I reply, tucking a lock of my blond hair behind my ear."I liked your hair better when it was longer," He mutters under his breath. My brows furrow. "How did you even notice I cut my hair?" I ask him.It dawns on me. How would someone who had barely even glanced at me notice the change in my hair?"You think I only know the length of your hair? " Aiden says, his voice low and gentle. "I know far more than you think."I find myself locking eyes with Aiden in the rearview mirror, and he doesn't look away. His gaze is piercing, as if he can see right through me. I find myself breaking eye contact, looking away from him. He would surely get us killed if he keeps looking at me like that.None of us speak until we reach our school. I can feel his eyes on me even when I'm not looking. I keep avoiding his gaze, until he stops looking in the rearview mirror.I can't seem to get his words out of my head. What else does he know about me?The car rolls to a stop in the parking lot, and I let out a long, shaky breath. I'm relieved. But now, I know I have to face the curious stares and whispers from my school mates. I know this would happen though. After all, I'm with the most popular guy in college.Attention. I despise it. I hate being the center of attention.I mutter a quick "thank you" and start to leave, but a firm hand on my arm stops me. Aiden pulls me closer so that I am standing just inches from him. I have the strangest urge to step even closer, and I hate myself for it. My breasts are pressed against his chest, and I can't even decide if I like it or not.His brown eyes meet mine. "I will give you a ride home after your lectures," He said.I can feel his breath on my cheek, sending shivers down my spine."No. I… I mean, thank you, but I don't need a ride," I stammered."It is not a request. I will be here when you're done, whether you like it or not,"Aiden chucked softly, releasing my arm from his grip.OLIVIA"What does he smell like? What does his touch feel like? " Ashley's high-pitched voice echoes in my ear. "You guys were standing so close, what on earth did you see in his eyes?" I let out a sharp breath, covering my ears with my hands. I am already tired of the questions she was asking. Aiden's scent? The feel of his touch? Why the hell should I know all that? And, why do I have such a crazy friend? I am not even crazy. How do I end up with a friend like that, and the only friend I have in school at that?Ashley's eyes widened. "Aiden said something to you. His voice made you wet, right? I wish it was me," She mumbled, picking her words one after the other. I shake my head, giving her a deadly glare. I somehow find myself thinking about his voice. His voice is husky, but when he spoke to me, his voice was low and gentle. His voice is enticing too. I want to hear him whisper in my ear, or read my favorite books in my ear while his hand is between my thighs. What the hell am
OLIVIAI keep my eyes on Nathan till he leaves the restaurant and disappears from my sight. I turn to my best friend, Ashley who already has a mischievous grin on her face. I am not surprised, I know she would do something silly. Ashley winks at me and then squeals loudly, attracting stares from the few people scattered around the restaurant. Damn, social anxiety is scary for this girl!I take a deep breath, letting her do whatever she likes. This is going to be one of those moments where I just let her have her fun. "I said it!" Ashey exclaims."Just shut the fuck up," I snap at her, lifting my glass to take a sip of the fruit juice I got."You fûcking like Aiden Blacksmith," Ashley whispers, leaning close to me. "And you are acting like you don't give a fuck about him."I give a half shrug. "I don't give a flying fuck about him. I don't like him, Ashley," I mutter."He's my sister's best friend. It would be weird to like him," I add."You can keep the fact that he is your sister'
OLIVIAAiden's arm, which had been wrapped around my waist, loosens suddenly. I almost trip as I move away from him.My sister just caught me almost kissing her best friend, which is out of bounds in our fûcking house."Olivia , go to your room!" Sarah's high pitched voice echoes in the living room. She is still standing by the staircase.I nod my head. I avoid my sister's gaze as I walk past her, my head bowed in shame. I know how she acts when she is angry. Sarah can destroy any fûcking time when she is mad. She is force to be reckoned with when she's upset. Aiden must know that too – he has seen her blow up before. "What do you think you are doing, Blacksmith? How dare you even consider messing around with my sister! She is my sister, for heaven's sake!" Sarah's voice rings in my ears.I enter my room and sit on my bed."She is only eighteen, you are not supposed to try doing shits with her," Sarah continues, her tone still shrill and angry.I roll my eyes. Saying my age is unn
OLIVIAYou know that moment that feels like the world has stopped spinning and everything goes still. All I can hear is the beating of my own heart .I look up, and our eyes meet. His deep brown eyes hold mine, and for a moment, it feels both of us are the only people in the room. How can I possibly imagine being alone with Aiden freaking Blacksmith A.K.A biggest fuck boy in school?"I am so fucking happy for you," Ashley whispers in my ear, and I look away from Aiden's intense gaze.I lift a shoulder in a half shrug. I am not surprised my best friend is so hyped that I will be stuck in the same room with Aiden. Is this not what she has been expecting?I sense someone else standing in front of me. My gaze flickers up to meet Aiden's. My fingers curl into fists, and suddenly, I worry about how I look, with me having to look up at him. Do I look pretty or sexy? Or do I look like a nerd or a little kid?"Ladies first," Aiden murmurs, picking his words one after the other. The words sl
AIDENI fill a glass with water and take a long drink, trying to wash away the fog in my head. I always need a drink after a night out, and tonight had definitely been a late one. I definitely overdid it on the drinks last night. I take another long drink of water, trying to banish my cobwebs from my brain. Alcohol always does a number on me, and last night was an exception. The kitchen door creaks open and I know who it is without turning around. It is Bryan, my roommate and best friend. We share a house off-campus, and even though I am easily annoyed, I get along with him better than anyone else. We have been friends since high school, and I trust him completely.Bryan walks over to the sink and fills a glass of water for himself, then drains it in one long gulp. He turns to face me having a blank look on his face. "You are not going to tell me what happened last night," He probes. "What?" I ask, giving a half shrug. I know exactly what he is getting at, but I can't let him kno
OLIVIAI flip through the remaining pages of my biology textbook and realize that I have covered most of the material in a short amount of time. The corners of my mouth tug upwards. I deserve a pat on the back. Now, I can focus on the other classes I am taking.I have a habit of studying ahead in my classes, ever since high school. I have found that it is not only helpful for tests and exams, it also helps me to relax and have less stress. Plus I will be working part-time this year, so it is especially important for me to stay ahead. My family is not wealthy, but my father makes enough money to support us. Still, I have personal goals that I need to save for, like traveling to visit my mother in another state during our summer holiday. Since my dad can't help me pay for that, I need to find a way to earn money on my own. After school, I am going to start looking for a job, my first job ever. While I don't have any work experience, I am sure I can find something that is a good fit
OLIVIA"Nathan," I call his name, blinking my eyelashes rapidly. Imagine crashing into your crush like that. It is so embarrassing. I want to sink into the floor and disappear. I am sure Nathan thinks I am the clumsiest person on earth. But, I am not usually clumsy - just when I get nervous or restless which seems to be happening a lot lately. "Sorry, does it hurt?" Nathan asks, looking down at me. I reach up to touch my forehead. It is a little sore, but not too bad. I shake my head. "No, it does not really hurt," I reply. “Are you okay?” He questions. “You're a bit out of sorts.”“I am okay,” I answer. Even as I said the words, I know they are not entirely true. Physically, I am fine. But, mentally, I am a mess. I have so many thoughts and emotions swirling inside of me, and I don't know how to make sense of any of it. Nathan tucks his hands into the pockets of his denim jeans. His golden hair falls over his face, framing his handsome face. And damn, he looks like a model doi
AIDENIt is official. I am losing my mind. I can't even concentrate on soccer practice. All I can think about is the hazel eyed girl with the killer body. I think it is what they call an “hourglass figure,”. Whatever the body shape is, she has a perfect body that is driving me insane. Her beautiful face is stuck in my memory, and her image burns into my brain. I can't get her out of her head, no matter how hard I try. Her lips…I don't know why the memory of them is still so vivid, or why I can still taste them on my own lips after so many days.Even though I have never been the one to date, I have been with a lot of girls. I can get any one I want with no stress. I have always been able to get exactly what I want, when I want it. But Olivia, she is different. No one has made me feel the way she does. There is something about her that has me hooked, making me long for her. I can't stop checking my phone, hoping for a message from her.It has been days since I told her to text me,
