Chapter Seventy

Harvey's POV

I was having that horrible, gut-wrenching dream all over again

The dream of the family of three getting k*lled by the red-haired monster

I didn't know why the goddess was torturing me by making me re-live everything. All I knew was that I shut my eyes tight and held back a scream when the red-haired woman crept into the couple's room in the darkness

I kept my eyes shut even as I heard her slash the man's throat and stomach, even as I heard her rip out the woman's heart despite her shrill screams

And then came the worst part of the dream

The part were innocent, little Jemmy padded into the room looking for his parents

I couldn't watch his death the first time and I most definitely couldn't watch it now

I gritted my teeth and stifled a wince as the sound of his neck snapping pierced into the air

I wouldn't let myself cry and wail like the last time, I wanted to be strong because I knew that it was a dream and I wasn't actually there
