Chapter Four - Dear Diary...

It’s been a week, and I’m still avoiding Mario Princeton like the plague. I kept telling myself that it was for my good. I couldn’t bear the thought of a fad ruining my new life in this town. Yes, I’d describe my feelings for him as mere infatuation. Keep saying it until you believe it, right?

I can’t pretend that avoiding him isn’t a chore, but I’ve tried to distract myself by reading and journaling. My mother kept a journal, and I always thought the whole “Dear Diary” thing was a waste of time, but now that I had the opportunity for a fresh start, I decided to indulge my mother, who always tried to make me write as well, and it turns out it isn’t so bad. Especially since I spend my evenings writing under a tree near the stream. I tell my journal about everyone in town who has yet to warm up to me.

“It is difficult for these people to accept someone new. Especially with your involvement with everyone’s sweetheart.”

By ‘sweetheart,’ Bolu was referring to Princeton. I gasped when he mentioned this to me.

“People talk.” He added and shrugged.

“Well, they do enjoy drama. Or they would have informed you that I have not spoken with that individual.”

“He has been asking about you.”

My heart skipped a beat. I shifted on the bar stool before retrieving my pink leather-bound journal from the platform. “I’ll be on my way right now. Goodbye, Bolu.”

I strolled along, thankful for the brief respite from the rain. It has been pouring heavily, and I have been forced to stay inside. So, I had no choice but to assemble my apartment. I was missing my new favourite spot by the stream the whole time. It’s very peaceful there. I almost couldn’t believe people in this town don’t spend their afternoons there like I do.

I sat on the grass, watching the water flow. Nature’s sweet caress quickly put me to sleep. I’d only been out for about five minutes when a scent interrupted my zen. I fluttered my eyes open to make sure Mario wasn’t sitting there and nature had just carried his perfume, but to my surprise, there he was. Just a few feet away.

I sat up, embarrassed, doing a mental check to see if I was snoring or had my mouth agape. I tried to remain calm and act as if I wasn’t bothered by his presence.

“What exactly are you doing here?” My tone was a little harsh, but he was unaffected.

He shielded his eyes from the setting sun with his hand.

“This is my land.”

I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Of course, the one place I like happens to be his. He was just like any other wealthy jerk out there who goes- “Oh, this place is lovely; I should buy it and keep people out of it.” That explains why no one comes here—got it.

“This is trespassing.” Mario continued while I struggled to my feet quickly. “Got it; I’m leaving now. Ever heard of a gate or a sign?” I mumbled the last part, but loud enough for him to hear.

I was about to leave with my book clutched to my chest when he grabbed me. A chill ran down my spine. I looked down at the hand that was now on my elbow.

“I’m not going to let go of this hand. Get pissed if you want to. I need to speak with you.” Mario scratched his brow. “I’ve missed you. I’ve missed all of your sassiness.” He smiled sweetly. And from the way he looked, as if he couldn’t hurt a fly, I could tell he used this puppy eyes look a lot, and it worked for him. Now he’s pulling it on me, and it’s about to perform. But I’m not about to make it simple.

“I have things to do.”

“You still have tomorrow off, Nina.”

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

“And, by the way, who said I wanted to spend my free time with you?”

“How about five minutes?”

I could already feel the wetness between my legs due to the cool evening breeze, his strong hands, and how insanely hot he sounded. I should go home, but I found myself nodding. I spread the blanket and sat on the grass, and he sat next to me.

“You’ve been avoiding me.”

“Correction, I’ve been busy. It’s not all about you, mister.”

“Okay, you’ve got me worried. I scared you the last time I said, “I won’t stop until I break down your wall.”

I snorted. “Trust me, it would take more than that to frighten me.”

I exhaled.

“I just don’t know how to lie. I barely know you, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I always want to hear you speak with your smart mouth and drown in your laughter. I’ve admired you since the first time I saw you. I can’t even pretend.”

Frozen is an understatement of how I felt when he said these things.

He had more on the way. “I see you, and I can tell you like me, but you’re holding back. Suppressing these feelings.” His honesty was so appealing that I believe if someone else had told me about this human being known as Mario Princeton, I would have taken it as a half-truth. People like Mario are only seen on television, not in real life, and I am fortunate to have his attention.

“Don’t get too cocky now.”

He smiled.

I turned to face the water. “I wish I could draw this scene right now.”

“I wish you would pay attention to what I’m saying, but since the scene is more appealing, do you want me to call for some art supplies, your Majesty?”

I narrowed my eyes. “Says the man who lives in a castle and can order people to bring him art supplies by snapping his fingers.”

“I was going to use my phone, but okay.”

We sat silently for another hot minute, the birds chirping gone, and all I could hear was his breathing.

“Do you tell every girl you like on the first date that you want to fuck them?” I blurted out.

“Not at all, but have you seen yourself?”

I shook my head, which was all I could do to keep myself from laughing uncontrollably.

“I’m not sorry I came across that way.”

“I appreciate it. I appreciate your sincerity.”

He was about to say something naughty because his mouth twitched.

“No, Mario Princeton, I’m not having sex with you.”

He scowled.

“I mean, why not?”

“I came to town to forge a new path for myself. I don’t need you to make things more difficult for me.”

“It’s funny how you can tell there will be complications immediately.”

“There will be when you learn about the past I’m running from.” I tried to hold my tongue, but the words were already coming out. “I am not a princess. I don’t fit in at your castle. Your brilliant imagination.”

“Tell me what you’re so afraid of. You have tiny hands. It’s impossible to believe you killed anyone.”

I was fuming, but I laughed when he said the last part. He looked at me expectantly, waiting for me to say something. I inhaled the fresh air. Then I opened my mouth to speak. “I...”

I planted my lips on Mario’s when no more words came out. This move surprised him, but he quickly adjusted. It was all his fault for being so adorable, and the scene was just right. Our tongues collided as I yanked on his shirt, pleading with him to take it off, which he did in one swipe, his eyes brimming with lust. I sank deeper into his warm, broad shoulders. I broke the hug and took a step back. And I teased striped until I was naked with a mischievous smile. At the same time, his eyes welled up with desire for me. “Are you going to stand there, or will you take off your jeans? “

Mario smirked and instantly changed into his birthday suit.

An involuntary gasp escaped my mouth when I looked down at his penis, which was overjoyed to see me. “Wow! “

He snatched me up, and we soon lay on the floor on my little blanket. He cupped my breasts and slid down between my legs to feel the wetness. Gosh! I was giddy with delight. My legs were on his shoulder, and he wouldn’t let go until I orgasmed in his mouth.

By the time he was finished with me, I was so shaken that I struggled to catch my breath. He turned when I struggled to sit up. “Today, let me pamper you.”

Hearing these made my body shiver even more. With every man I’d been with, it was always about his pleasure, not mine. And here was Mario, putting me first.

“Who said there would be another time?” my words were meant to be serious, but I was so ecstatic that my entire body language was saying, ignore the mouth. There will be another time.

Mario listened to my body and took a hard nipple into his mouth, and I moaned in delight. I wrapped my legs around him as he slid in. The sensation was unlike any other, causing tears to escape the corner of my eye as I shamelessly squealed.

After satisfying our fleshly desires, we lay naked in each other’s company.

“Mario?” I almost whimpered, still reeling from Mario’s exploration of my body.

He blinked open his eyes and looked down at me.

” Yes?”

“I...” I paused, and we both sat up simultaneously as we heard rustling, followed by “Daddy?”
