Chapter Fifteen

Tasha's heart tremors at Nelson's words. She had to blink her eyes rapidly to be sure she wasn't hallucinating. Nelson has never taken her with him to anywhere before. The fact that he's taking her with him to a new year party leaves her heart throbbing like it'll fall of her chest.

"Its an important event" he said, chewing a mouthful of pasta "and those motherfucking board of directors insisted that I show up with my wife. That's like giving your silly ass another round of visibility huh?" He said and a disapproving frown clutched his face.

"There he goes again" Tasha muttered under her breath. In every conversation they have, Nelson utilizes every opportunity to send abusive jabs at her. No matter what they're taking about.

Tasha drifted slowly to the edge of her seat. Her face beaming with anxiety. She wished the dining table was like a place she could conceal herself from the threatening stares of Nathan.

"So my dear graduand. You're not going to any fucking graduation party"
