CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

Nelson's face shrunk into a tight scowl as he gazed at Tasha. He squinted his eyes back to the papers and then to Tasha again. It was astonishing to him, and all he could do was heave exasperated sighs.

"Tasha...." He muttered. he held the papers up in his hand, still staring at her "what's the meaning of this... I don't understand. You're divorcing me?" He said, his voice, stuck somewhere between shock and anxiety and a drizzle of anger.

Tasha had a blank stare on her face. She retained her gaze, saying no word.

Her awkward speechlessness made his nostril gush with anger.

"Tasha, I'm talking to you!" He yelled. He halted when his voice reechoed in the room. He cringed at how audible his voice was, he was scared to attract the attention of an intruder. "Tasha, say something. I'm so confused" he said, trying to slow down his voice. He slanted to the edge of the table - eyes fixated on Tasha's skin.
