Chapter 7- Trouble at school

Straight from her work, Felicity rushed to Apollo’s school without sleep. She felt nervous because of what the teacher said to her. Why does her son get into trouble? She called Apollo’s nanny to take care of the kid in the meantime until she came back.

“Good morning, sir.” She greeted the Principal as soon as she arrived at the principal’s office. The Principal was sitting on his swivel chair.

He looked at her from head to toe, grinning from ear to ear. His eyes were full of lust, which made her feel uneasy. From the mirrored window in the room, Felicity saw her reflection. She gasped when she realized she was still wearing makeup, sleeveless fitted tops, and skinny pants showing her curves.

The Principal stood up with his eyes locked on her body. He smirked and stood up. Felicity trembled and took a step backward.

“Sir, I-I heard my son got into trouble?” She asked, even if her heart was pounding so fast like it was going out of its ribcage. She felt nervous about how the Principal drooled at her body.

The Principal walked in front of his table and leaned on his desk. He put his hands inside his pockets and crossed his legs without removing his gaze from hers. “Well, your son was involved in trouble yesterday. But I managed to fix the mess.” He smiled cheekily. “Rumors were spreading about you working in a club. And it affects your child.” He strolled toward her.

Felicity gasped at what the Principal said. Her eyes widened in fear, and her lips trembled. ‘How did they know about my work?’ she wondered with her brows frowned.

The Principal smirked. “You don’t have to worry, Happy. I will not let your son get hurt… In exchange, you will go out with me. From then, your secrets will be safe.”

Felicity felt like she was being doused with cold water. ‘How did he know my name in the club? I made sure that no one would recognize me. And why does this old hag know me? Could it be…’ The Principal noticed her anxiety and read what was on her mind. He shrugged.

“Maybe you did not notice me… But whenever I see you dancing on the stage with nothing else to wear, you make my insides go wild. You have no idea how I felt after seeing you there. I wanted you badly, but you don’t want extra service.” He shrugged. “I was just waiting for this to happen… We can make negotiations, you know.” His grin made Felicity shivers down her spine.

“Good morning, Sir.” Felicity sighed in relief when the door opened. It was Teacher Kath, Apollo’s adviser, who came in.

“Good morning, Ms. Mondragon.” She greeted her with a smile plastered on her face, oblivious to what had happened earlier. The Principal went back to his seat with his nose wrinkled. Maybe he got irritated when Teacher Kath came.

“Mark’s parents were also here.” The teacher announced. Felicity excused herself and went to the comfort room.

She washed her face and wiped it with a tissue to remove the makeup on her face. “That asshole…” Felicity clenched her hands as soon as she remembered what the Principal had said to her. “I will not allow my son to be in this school any longer. ‘That scumbag will use my son to get what he wants, and I will not allow him.’ She thought.

‘But how can I face the other parents when I am wearing this?’ She looked at herself. She was uncomfortable wearing only a fitted sleeveless. Because she rushed to school, she forgot to change her clothes to decent ones. She only picked what she took first without minding that it was not appropriate to wear. She went out of the restroom with her shoulders down.

Felicity jumped in surprise when someone put a gray coat on her shoulders. She turned her head to see who gave her the coat. Her eyes widened when she saw who it was. “Mister, what are you doing here? Are you stalking me?” she asked with her brows frowning.

“You might need my help… So, I came here.” Jeremy said nonchalantly, which made her nose wrinkle.

“And why do I need your help? As far as I know, we are not related to each other.”

“Not yet… for now.” Felicity scoffed.

“You wish. But thank you for this. I will return it to you later.” She was referring to the coat she was wearing. But Jeremy shrugged and let Felicity leave.

Felicity went back to the Principal’s office and saw four pairs of eyes looking in her direction. The Principal frowned as he saw the coat on her shoulders. Felicity noticed his gaze, and she fixed the coat with a smug look on her face. ‘This coat is a savior.’ she sighed in her thoughts.

“So, both parents are here… Let us now discuss the issue that your child was involved in yesterday.” The teacher spoke.

“Apollo punched his classmate, Mark.” She stated.

“That’s impossible. My son wouldn’t hurt anyone.” Felicity rebutted.

“So, you mean my son punched himself?” Mrs. Achilles said.

“It’s not my point here,” Felicity replied, which made Mrs. Achilles huff.

“It’s your fault. You can’t teach your son moral values. He doesn’t even have a father. Aside from that, don't you feel guilty? You’re feeding your son food that came from dirt.” Mrs. Achilles accused her husband of elbowing her from the side to stop her from talking.

“I’m sorry?” She asked in confusion.

Mrs. Achilles scoffed and opened her fan and fanned herself with a smug look on her face.

“Why? Am I wrong?” Mrs. Achilles turned her head to her husband. "She works at the club as a dancer." Mrs. Achilles pointed a finger at Felicity. "Don't tell me it's not true?" She sneered. "All the parents knew about her and her reputation. Her son shouldn't be studying here. Whores like her will ruin the name of this school." Mrs. Achilles looked at the Principal and the teacher. "If you will not expel her son, then expect that a few more parents will remove her son from your school." She warned them which made Felicity clench her fists.

"What's wrong with my work? Did I rob nor beg for your money? I am working to feed my son's stomach. I did not even snatch your husband to make you get mad at me. So, you don't have the right to judge me." She wiped the tears that escaped from her eyes. "Don't worry… I will be transferring my son. You don't need to kick him out. I don't want my son to be surrounded by narrow-minded people like you, who know nothing but gossip about someone's life without minding their own lives. Bunch of idiots." Felicity sternly said, and she looked at the principal.

"I will transfer my son to another school. Please prepare the documents." She commanded before she walked out and left the room.

"very well said. I'm impressed." Felicity stopped walking when she heard Jeremy.

He was leaning against the wall with his hands inside his pockets. He was looking at his shoes.

"Why are you still here? Were you listening all this time?" Felicity shook her head in disappointment.

"I am waiting for you," he said, which made Felicity point at herself.

"Me?" she asked, confused.

"Yes. I want to help you." Felicity sighed exasperatingly.

"Why?" she sneered. "You know what? Nevermind… Besides, I don't need your help. But thanks for your offer, anyway." She said, before leaving him alone in the corridor.
