Here I am sitting in a coffee shop sipping a hot matcha latte. Writing my story, telling about my not so Happily Ever After.

This life story happened 10 years ago. Where I got married to a man, who I fell for at my first glance. Little did I know he resent me for 'messing' with his life that's how he told me.

• Emily's POV •

I just got back from my vacation in the Mexico. Jetlagged hit me hard I guess. I still don't know why my dad called and asked me to cut my vacation short and come back straight away to the London.

By the way my name is Emily Fransisco, I'm 22 and currently working as a baker and designer for my own clothing line. Well, it was a better choice than being my dad's financial consultant at his company.

"So what happened? Why did you both ask me to cut my vacation?" I asked both of my parents once I stepped in to my dad's office.

My mum stood up from her seat and walked up to me, hugging me. "Come here my baby," my mum said and put her hand on my shoulder leading me to a seat next to her.

I took a seat next to my mum and in front of my dad. Still curious at what my parents need to say to me.

"Emi, the reason why mommy and I ask you to comeback earlier is we will have a family dinner tomorrow. It's about you and your future," my dad said.

I sit, trying to observe it, "mm, my future? Dad? Mum? What do you mean?" I asked.

But they just stay quite. Didn't even have the urge to talk.

To say that I'm confused is an understatement. My parents called me back out of nowhere to talk about my so called future? Well, Aren't I already living my life? I'm 22 years old, having my own bakery and clothing line is how I live my life.

"I don't get it, mum, dad." I said

"You will, tomorrow my kid," my dad said.

My mum then smiled and turn to me, holding my face in both of her hands, "my Amy, believe me, what you dad and I plan for is the best for you," she said.

Then she took a deep breathe like she finally can be happy, "and I know you'll be happy with it too," she said.

"And now you are excused, you can go and sleep," my dad said.

Then I walked out of the room.
