CHAPTER 5 - HIS STUPID PLAY

Ahaana's POV:

"Vince…" I called him seeing him kneeling down while closing his eyes. Knowing that he was going to faint, I caught him before his head collided with the floor. Not knowing what to do, I made him sit against the wall and ran outside to call David. I saw Principal and Ms. Sera standing outside and David was impatiently waiting in some distance.

"David…sir" I yelled his name successfully grabbing the attention of three.

Seeing me, David immediately ran towards me and Principal and Ms. Sera also came near me.

"What happened, Ahaana? Why are you crying?" David asked me and that's when I realized that I was still crying.

"Did he…?" He was going to ask me something but thankfully Ms. Sera stopped him.

"What happened? Open your damn mouth" She said while gritting her teeth and I'm in no mood to handle her now.

"He…he fainted," I said and all became shocked and David looked at me for some seconds before running inside.

We all ran inside behind him and I don't know why I'm doing that. I should be walking away from him but I can't leave him in this situation.

David went beside him and tried to wake him up. When he was trying to wake him up, Ananya came there searching for me. She looked at me and tried to drag me outside but seeing me not moving, she also stood there silently.

"What you did to him, Ahaana?" Principal asked me and David looked at me confused.

"Did you mix anything in his food?" Ms. Sera asked me and I shook my head fast saying no.

"Just stop being silly and give me some water?" David asked and the Principal immediately ran to the desk and got the water bottle to David.

David splashed the water on Vincenzo and he opened his eyes after a few attempts but he immediately grabbed his head silently whimpering in pain and I didn't know why I felt broken seeing him like that.

"Boss, we need to go to your room, your fever is high," David said and Vincenzo stood up not still grabbing his head with his hands.

"Let me help you, Mr. Dantzler," Ms. Sera said and went near him but he showed his hands which stopped her from going near him.

He looked at me before taking a few steps towards me. David shook his head knowing about his stubbornness.

"Help me go to the guest house," He said making me shocked as well as Ananya, Ms. Sera, and Principal.

"You spilled the hot coffee on my back and it's burning," He said and I realized that Principal and Ms. Sera were watching our drama.

I nodded my head and he immediately wrapped his left hand around my shoulder and that's when I realized how high a fever he was having. Wrapping my right hand around his waist and holding his hand on my shoulder, I started to slowly drag him outside the meeting hall and I heard David asking the principal to arrange the doctor.

Ananya also followed me outside while gritting her teeth and seeing his drama. His weight is more but he is also balancing helping me to walk with him. I took him near the car and David opened the back door. I made him sit and tried to move away from the car, but he tightened his grip on my shoulder and looked at me while moving his head to the right and left I understood that he wanted me to get inside which I did with a confused mind and heavy heart.

David sat on the passenger seat and Ananya, Ms. Sera, and Principal got in another car. The second when I closed the door, he rested his head on my shoulder making me shocked and I didn't fail to notice the wide mouth of the driver. Did he change his driver? Where is Mr. Parkinson? I shook my head and tried to remove his head but noticing that every time I tried, he was moving his head close to my neck, I stopped trying.

When the car stopped in front of the guest house, David helped me in getting down with Vincenzo. He showed me the way to his room inside the guest house and stood in the center hall not wanting to go inside. But, when the principal and others came there with the doctor, I understood the situation and took him inside his room.

But, I was shocked to the core when I entered the room. The room is freezing cold and the climate outside is also not good. That's when I noticed the temperature in the A.C. and saw that it was at 16 degrees Celsius, the lowest point in the A.C. Don't tell me that he slept in that yesterday.

I made him sleep on the right side of the bed which he used to and he grabbed his head immediately with one hand. He didn't leave my hand but when everyone came inside he left me and closed his eyes. The doctor went near him to check and I searched for the A.C. remote. When I successfully found it on the ground near the window, I saw that he was not allowing the doctor to check on him.

"I don't need any doctor," He said but tried to look outside the room making me confused.

I switched off the A.C. and kept the remote on the couch.

"Who the hell…" He looked at the A.C. and then me and stopped whatever he was going to say.

I went near him and covered him with the duvet to keep him warm as the temperature was still low.

"Check on him, doctor," I said and everyone looked at me shocked except David and I saw him smiling at this drama.

I saw the doctor also going near him while shaking in fear. He checked him and he said that the temperature was more than 104 degrees Fahrenheit and it made me angry but I know now it's not the old me and the relationship we had.

"Sir, are you taking any special medications?" The doctor asked him but he looked at me and didn't reply anything.

"He is taking depression tablets and sleeping pills," David said shocking me and Vincenzo glared at him while David just ignored him.

"He is taking the same medications you're taking," Ananya said looking at me and I saw both Vincenzo and David looking at me shocked. Why shouldn't they when they knew I hate taking sleeping pills, but now I'm taking them as daily pills?
