CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

It has been about a month since the party and what happened between Giovanni and me, and things between the both of us have been somewhat steady, if you don’t count his sneaky sexual remarks and our unnecessary childish banter. Then it's all good to go.

Apart from that, you could say we have become closer than before with each passing day. Some days we have our breakfast and dinner together, and some days he leaves early for work or arrives home late.

Anyway, it has been a month, and Alfred was driving me over to my parents place. It's been a long time since I saw them, and I miss them. I know the company is doing well now because Giovanni told me so.

An hour later, we were driving through the gate of the house I grew up in. I had always asked my parents why they spent so much money building such a big house, but as usual, my dad had to live up to his status.

I knocked on the door, and one of the housekeepers opened, telling me my dad was at his office and my mom was at the library.
