No matter how much I slapped myself, the reality of what happened last night could not disappear as I stared in the mirror.

Everette and I just kissed and there were tiny kiss marks on my neck.

I shoved myself into the mirror for better access. There it was. The kiss marks.

The smile wiped away from my eyes. Well, that was true.

And speaking of my husband, where could he be right now? Did he run away because of what happened? Maybe I scared him?

When I woke up, he was no longer around. He never bothered to wake me up? Why?

My stomach grumbled and I was reminded that I barely ate anything yesterday since I did not have any appetite at all.

I glanced at my clock on the side table. It was already nine o’clock in the morning and the funeral would be at two o’clock in the afternoon. I still had a lot of time to prepare.
