307. Happiness and despair

I am surprised by the amount of people I see on the bleachers from afar. They're Elders and Executives of the pack.

"What are they all doing here?" I look at Eric as I ask

"It was my decision. I want them to know no one is above the law. Not even the members of the Alpha's inner cabinet.

"Oh"

Left to me, I would have avoided the spectacle but what is done is done. Not that I can send them away now.

"Do they know the details of what happened?"

"No. Just that the Gamma chief chose to duel with the Alpha as punishment for something he did." He chuckles. "From their countenance, I can tell they don't think it's much of a punishment until they see the punishment you're capable of inflicting with your fists. Just remember not to kill him by mistake."

As we get nearer to the field they all stand in respect the moment they see us approach.

"Alpha," They say and bow in unison.

I see the surprise on most of their faces which I'm sure is a result of the new look I'm wearing. As Ivar and the
