Seeing Riley and her friends in front of the school, my heart began to beat faster. I didn't want any more trouble, but it seemed like they always found their way to me.

Kessler noticed my change in expression and gently squeezed my hand. "Let's just ignore them, okay?" he said calmly.

I nodded, trying to keep my composure as we got out of the jeep. But just as we were about to pass by them, Riley approached with a sarcastic smile.

"Eva, haven't you forgotten about our little incident the other day, have you?" she said, with her friends laughing behind her.

I tried to ignore her and keep moving forward, but Riley blocked my path. "What's wrong? Are you afraid I'll bury you alive again?" she said with an unpleasant laugh.

Kessler stepped between us, staring at Riley with a serious expression. "Enough, Riley. Leave us alone," he said firmly.
