Gingerly but hesitantly, Noami stood up expecting Kristen to stop her from leaving. Disappointment was written all over her face and she was finding it hard to hide it. Kristen looked away from her as she waited for Noami to leave. Noami didn't look like Someone ready to leave.

She was taking too much time to leave and Kristen's patience was running thin.

"Damn this lady, she should leave already," Kristen spat angrily in her mind.

"Won't she ask me to stay and also apologize to me?"

Noami thought and took a step and then turned towards the direction of Kristen's face, as if on cue both their eyes met and they stared at each other.

The tension was thickening in the room. Noami was staring at Kristen, waiting for her to at least say something, anything. As she saw Kristen remained silent, her anger rose within her and she spoke, "you know what?" She glared at Kristen, pointing her index finger at her angrily, "I was a fool to think I can patch things up with you. I am done trying
