It hurts... my whole body hurts so much. Sean! Hang in there. But why can’t I move my body?
Lisa slowly opened her eyes and tried to remember what had happened. Her head was aching and spinning. She was lying on the floor of a cold and dirty house. But why was that? Didn’t she fall into the abyss? Was this heaven? While observing the ceiling of the house, she tried to rise to her feet.
“Sean... ouch,” she winced in pain.
Then, someone’s voice spoke to her, and that person was right beside her.
“You’re awake,” he said.
Lisa was surprised. She immediately turned her head to look for the source of the voice. In the night’s dimness, she saw the figure of a shirtless man leaning against the dirty wall of the house. He seemed to hold his injured arm. Deep red blood stains covered almost his entire left arm.
“Who are you? Where is this? Where’s my brother?” Lisa asked in confusion and fear.
“We’re at the bottom of a ravine, or rather, we’re inside an empty house at the bottom of a ravine. I don’t see anyone but you, and as for who I am? I’m just an adventurer, that’s all I can tell you,” he replied.
“Then why am I in this house? Ouch.” Lisa grimaced in pain for the umpteenth time as she tried to move her left arm a few centimeters in the other direction.
“I found you lying unconscious with injuries on your legs and arms. It’s fortunate that you don’t seem to have a concussion, as I see your head is unharmed and not bleeding,” the stranger replied. Lisa had to admit he had impressive abdominal muscles, even in the night’s dimness.
“Thanks in advance, but why are you here too?” Lisa asked curiously.
“I fell off the cliff over there, a different fall point from where you were walking down the cliff,” he answered.
“Then, did you see a brown wolf that fell with me? Was it hurt too?” Lisa asked curiously.
“Sorry, I didn’t see any wolf that fell with you. If I did, it would have run away. I only found you alone.”
Lisa thought quite hard because she clearly remembered that her body was pushed down the cliff along with a brown wolf. But why was she the only one found at the bottom of the cliff? Where was the wolf?
“Do you have anything else to ask?” he asked while holding his injured arm.
“Please help me find my brother. Please! A wolf is threatening his life,” Lisa pleaded frantically.
“How do we find your brother? While we’re trapped in this old house. We just have to wait for reinforcements to arrive.” Then he leaned his body against the wall and let out a long sigh.
“What if the wolf eats or hurts him?” Lisa asked frantically.
“The wolf won’t eat him. It will only hurt or kill him.”
“What! I will not let my brother get killed. And how can you be sure that the wolf won’t eat or hurt him? While running in the middle of the forest, we saw a human body divided into several parts, and it was in a terrible condition.”
“Then how are you going to help him? You’re injured. Get some rest tonight. Tomorrow I’ll look for a way out of here.”
“Do you think there is a way out of this forest or from inside this ravine?” Lisa asked curiously, her eyes looking at him with an investigating gaze.
“There must be. We just don’t know it yet. Oh, we’ve been talking without knowing each other’s names. My name is Scott. What’s yours?” he asked. He has beautiful blue eyes.
“My name is Lisa. Umm, is your wound still bleeding?” Lisa asked.
“The bleeding has stopped. It’s just that my body still hurts.”
“It’s the same with my arm and body. It hurts a lot when I move it. How will reinforcements know if someone is trapped under a cliff?” Lisa asked.
“Won’t your family members try to find you? They’re our only hope. We’d better get some rest to recuperate and gather our strength. Good night, Lisa. If you need anything, wake me up.”
“Thank you, Scott. Have a good rest.”
Lisa watched him. He fell asleep quickly while one arm held the other injured arm and his breathing sounded heavy. Then, she turned her head and stared at the ceiling of the old house while wondering what would happen to her brother. She hoped for a miracle that would allow Sean to escape the wolf and be out of danger.
Meanwhile, when Lisa fell off the cliff. Sean tried to reach for her hand, but it was too late. She fell into the ravine along with a brown wolf. At that moment, from the front, the white wolf jumped toward him and tried to attack him.
Sean fell to the ground and the white wolf’s two front legs held Sean’s body lying on the ground, then when the wolf was about to bite him, there were several gunshots from the direction of the forest near the place where Sean was attacked by the white wolf.
The white wolf seemed surprised to hear the gunshots coming from the direction of the forest. It turned its face away and tried to observe the situation behind it. Just then, a large group of police and rescue teams arrived, fully armed and carrying other safety equipment.
They came forward and tried to free Sean from the wolf’s grip while firing several bullets into the air, trying to scare the white wolf in front of them. Then, some people brought flaming torches closer to the white wolf to scare it.
All the efforts were successful. Seeing many armed people and flaming torches directed at it made the white wolf scared and kept its feet and sharp nails away from Sean’s body lying on the ground. It ran away quickly, leaving them all behind. After the white wolf left, several rescuers immediately approached Sean and helped him stand up and treat his wounds.
Then, from the direction of the forest, a man ran while calling Sean and Lisa’s names. Sean turned around and yelled, “Dad, I’m here. Hurry and help Lisa.”
After Lisa and Sean’s father arrived and stood in front of Sean, breathless and panicked, he asked, “Sean, are you okay? Where’s your sister?”
“Dad, she fell into the ravine. Please help her!” Sean pleaded.
He grew increasingly panicked, so he asked the police and other rescuers to help him search for Lisa at the bottom of the ravine. Without waiting long, that night they immediately rushed down the cliff leading to the bottom of the cliff while calling Lisa’s name. However, the ravine was so deep and covered in thick fog, the rescuers and police had never been down it. No one knew exactly how deep it was and what was inside.
“Lisa, Lisa,” they yelled.
“Lisa, Lisa,” Bruce, Lisa’s father, yelled and a group of men comprising police and rescue teams yelled. They all walked in the night’s dimness, sharpening and focusing their vision to find Lisa’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, Sean and some police officers waited at the edge of the cliff.Bruce hoped Lisa was safe and that nothing bad had happened to her. His thoughts and feelings were chaotic. If anything happened to his daughter, he could never forgive himself. They descended the cliff slowly through a path that one person could only travel using safety equipment. The trail was quite dangerous with the wet ground.Several men from the rescue team led the way in front of Bruce, and Sheriff Webb and one of his men followed behind. The fog at the bottom of the ravine was thick.Unyielding, they all continued to walk down the cliff, even though the more they walked towards the bottom of the cliff, the thicker the fog became, and the more it obscured their visibility. Finally, the rescue team l
“This area is a forbidden forest area. You and Lisa shouldn’t be here. Maybe Jessy has the same curiosity as you. Young people have a lot of curiosity. This forest has been closed and forbidden to enter since a dozen years ago. It all started with some strange events that we initially thought were absurd. Many victims died in terrible conditions. Their bodies were torn apart, similar to wild animal attacks. And we found those victims in this forest,” Sheriff Webb said.“So?” Sean asked curiously as he looked at Sheriff Webb and his father.Sheriff Webb looked at Bruce, and vice versa. Then Sheriff Webb sighed and resumed his explanation.“Some people saw wolves roaming and passing through the forest. But the horror didn’t stop there. The villagers worked with a police team to go into the forest to hunt down the wild wolves. At first, we all thought it was a wild wolf. Finally, some of us saw the transformation from human to werewolf, but unfortunately, they could not see the human form
Too late, Peter passed away right in Fred’s arms. Fred cried and screamed the name of his best friend and personal assistant. Peter returned in human form, his face peaceful and smiling. At least he had said what he wanted to say to Fred. With a limp, Fred picked up his friend’s body and carried him away from the bloodied battlefield as he continued to say a few words.“I’m sorry,” Fred said.A single High Court headed by three leaders who had the power to organize, adjudicate and decide united the packs in the State of Vermont. Among the three leaders of the High Court, there was one mysterious leader and none of the members had ever seen his face. During pack meetings, this mysterious leader was behind a curtain and one of his assistants assists with everything. The Black Skull Pack and Blood Moon Pack were among the packs under the leadership of the High Court. Fred was an Alpha in the Black Skull Pack. And the fight in the middle of the forbidden forest happened because of the chal
"Tell me, what message do you have for me?" asked Scott."Master wants you to see him now," said one of the men wearing sunglasses with a large build."Why he wants to see me? Hasn't anything serious happened lately?" asked Scott."Master, perhaps you forgot what happened last night?" said the man again.Scott was shocked and wondered how the High Court knew about last night's event."But last night no one was hurt. We're just fighting normally," Scott replied.“Sir, there have been many victims. Sorry, we can't talk much more. We wait for your treatment to finish, then escort you to the Master," said the man again."Ok."Then, Scott stood up and walked out to call the two nurses to come in. Subsequently, he was treated again under the full supervision of the men earlier. After everything was done, Scott wore his clothes and walked out of the treatment room. However, before his feet took further steps away from the
"May I know what was written in the letter, Scott?" asked Mr. James.Scott closed the letter and replied, “My father died of poison. Someone put poison in his food and that's why he died.""Do you have a suspect?" James asked."Not. I never thought of suspecting anyone, but Fred's father couldn't have done something despicable like this. As far as I know, despite competing with my father, he places great emphasis on honesty and sportsmanship. So, somehow I feel a little confused, this letter confused me. Who had the heart to put poison in my father's food? He's never hurt anyone," Scott replied, looking back at the letter in his hand.“But the poison was found in Fred's father's study room. How do you explain that?” asked Mr. James."I don't know, I'll look into this later. Then, am I still obliged to come to Peter's funeral?"“After considering it, I decided it wasn't necessary anymore. I will send my assistant to co
Scott, Tom, and Katie were shocked when they saw the badge. It was Tom's badge which he had always kept in his pocket. And the picture on the badge was the same as the mural plastered in Scott's study room.Sheriff Webb's eyes locked on Scott. The middle-aged man looked at him intently. Then, he asked again, “Mr. Hanson, do you recognize this badge?”"Oh sorry, Sheriff. Y-yes of course I recognize the badge. That badge belongs to Tom and somehow it's in your hands because Tom lost his badge a while ago,” Scott stammered."Sir, are you sure about your explanation?" asked Sheriff Webb disgruntled.Suddenly, Katie remembered that she had to check the food she made. Then she said goodbye to Sheriff Webb.“Umm Sheriff, I'm sorry. I have to go back inside and check my cooking.” Then Katie sprinted into the house and left her two friends behind. Now, only her two other friends and Sheriff Webb were left. Tom could not
"What do you mean by the word "messed up"?" asked Bruce.“There were bruises on her face and her eyes looked puffy. I don't know what happened to her. Hurry up and see her, it looks like she has something to tell you," said Dorothy."Okay, Mom. Then I'll see her now after putting Lisa's things into her room."Then they entered the house. Lisa and Sean sat at the dining table, while Bruce went up to the second floor and put all of Lisa's belongings inside her bedroom. Then, without waiting long, Bruce immediately went back down to the first floor and said goodbye to the mother and his two children, then hurried off to meet someone who was waiting for him at the hotel in the city center. That afternoon, the weather in Stowe was quite chilly, and as he drove carefully, Bruce wished those waiting for him well. Remembering the word bruised Dorothy made him even more anxious.About forty minutes later, Bruce's car arrived in front of a hotel that w
“Scott, looks like he left, or is this his home address?” Tom asked, trying to look through the window."Right. The address is correct. Could it be that he wasn't home? Or has he moved somewhere?” replied Scott."It can be. This house is very quiet, I can't hear anything from inside," said Tom.Katie who felt curious tried to approach the entrance and she pushed the doorknob downwards, the door was opened and unlocked. They were shocked and looked at each other. Then Scott signaled everyone on the count of three they were going inside. The atmosphere in the house was quiet and dark. After the door was opened wide, a very strong stench came out, making Scott and his friends cough while covering their noses. The appearance in the house is chaotic, all things were not in their place, really messy, looks like a house that has been entered by a thief.Scott and his friends split up, trying to search as they kept shouting Bert's name.
