Chapter 4_Searching For Her

Drexel was in the meeting hall with the foreigners, when he felt like someone hit him on his head.

He had a hard and aggressive countenance on.

"Are you okay?" one of the men asked.

"Yes I'm fine, thank you," Drexel did not care to fake a smile.

He lifts his hand to his face as he felt hot liquid dripping down his face. He brought his hand down to his face.

"Blood!" he said alarmed.

He knew what was going on, his forehead was already red from the hit.

he wanted to end the meeting as he was afraid someone might have decided to kill her.

"what if Albert gets to her," he thought.

he was absentminded and he was not listening to what the men around him were saying.

"What's your take on that, Mister Mason," one of the gray-haired man asked.

he looked on at them speechless as he doesn't even know what they were talking about anymore.

"We would see about that," Drexel said nodding his head.

All the men at the table were confused by his response as they do not know what he was talking about.

that very moment Tyler came in, upon seeing him, Drexel stood up beckoning to him to come.

he pushed him forward making him stand facing them.

"I'm sorry but something so important came up, he will let you in on everything," he said faking a smile.

Tyler had a grim look on his face then he noticed the red patch on his forehead, he was sure that Drexel wouldn't have involved himself in a fight in just this little moment he had left him, what then happened to his head?

"He sure knows how to dump his responsibility on me," Tyler said slightly annoyed.

"did you pack it at my favorite spot?" Drexel whispered to Tyler.

"Yeah, I did, the.......keys" he stretch his hand with the keys over to him but at the speed of lightning he had stormed out of the office.

"What is wrong with him," Tyler breathed in frustration.

he faced the men who had been watching the drama unfolding in front of them and smile.

"So gentlemen, where were we?" he asked them cheerfully.

Drexel stormed into the lift, he didn't let the lift stop on any floor, straight to the last floor it went.

he ran to his car and pull the door.

"Shit! My keysssss! he screamed angrily.

he used the small pin on his wristwatch to open the door of the car and went in he used a manual way to kickstart the car.

this was one common knowledge of assassins.

he zoomed off from that premises to his villa.

Drexel was sweating profusely when he got to his villa, it was quiet contrary to how he had pictured the house to be.

somewhere in his mind, he wished his theory of feeling her pain was wrong and that someone had killed her but if his theory was right.

"I won't let anyone that raises a hand not even a pat on her shoulder, I will murder that person," he said to himself.

he met the guards outside as it should.

He rushed inside his enormous villa, and aside from the guards he met the chief servants and the home caretaker. Mrs. Lilly Donovan was quite old with gray hair.

"Good evening, young master," she greeted.

"Where is our guest?" he asked anxiously.

"We had no guest here today sir," was all she said with a smile.

His sanity disappeared as he brought out his phone to call Tyler and lash him with his tongue.

"Young master, why don't you check the rooms, I went for groceries, maybe the guest might be in one of the rooms," though if it were one of the men that had just given him such advice he would have punished him, but now that she's one of his oldest staff and also old enough to be his mother.

Drexel just gave her a stern look and he was sure she understands it.

"I'm sorry, young master," she pleaded.

He put back the phone in his back pocket, Drexel muttered to himself.

" Not that I can call him now"

"just take care of yourself," he said to her as he move around the room.

Drexel does not want all the guards to find out that he didn't kill the lady he was supposed to kill. He knew Albertrosso will do everything to get back at him, not that he was scared, but he was not ready to fight now. not when he could feel the pain of this worthless woman, he thought to himself.

Drexel was now done with checking the down-floor rooms, his villa which had fifty-five well-furnished rooms and thirteen empty rooms, he was half way done with the fifteenth, when one of the strongest and dumbest guard came up to him.

"Boss," he greeted him.

"Yes, Brooke are you okay?" Drexel asked.

Brooke was shut of words, this was the first time since he had been here that the boss had called his name and now he didn't just call his name, he had asked him if he was okay.

He was beyond happy, so he stood speechless in shock and awe.

Drexel was not used to talking to the people around him so, he didn't care much about their expression and he know nothing about it either.

he frown at Brooke that was staring at him like he was in a stupor.

"Ahhh, I have no time to entertain this nonsense," Drexel said as he turned his back on him.

"Boss," he ran after him.

"What is it again Brooke?" he said turning to face him with his brow knitted.

"A black-haired woman with a coat on, tried escaping from the empty nineteenth floor upstairs and I.....," he announced.

"Not a word to anyone brooke!" He warned.

"Yes, Bo.. "

Drexel did not let him finish his words, as he stormed headlong towards the stairs.

He reach the door with a hinge breath, he turn the door knob and the door creaked open.

it was pitch dark in there, he walk confidently towards the switch and turned on the light, he had studied most of the rooms during his training and he knew exactly where a switch is always placed on a wall of a room.

"Here you are," he said to the lady curled on the bare floor half unconscious.
