Chapter 7

Alice woke up early, as she always did, to get her four children ready for the day. She prepared breakfast for them, knowing it was goingto be another challege. Her son, Harry, was ill with leukemia, and needed a lot of care and attention. She fed him with her hand, gently stroking his head as he ate.

Alice couldn't help but feel emotional asshe watched her son struggle with his illness. She had to save up as much money as possible to get him the treatment he needed, and as a result, her children couldn't go to school. She felt like she was failing as a mother.

Her quadruplets, Henry, Hannah, and Harriet, noticed their mother's distress and tried to comfort her. "Don't cry, Mommy," Henry said, giving her a hug. "We're here for you."

Alice smiled through her tears. Her children were her rock and her reason to keep fighting. She wiped away her tears and hugged them tightly.

"You're right. I need to have faith," Alice said, taking a deep breath. "We'll get through this together."
