As Alice lay in bed, tears streaming down her face, she couldn't help but feel grateful for Nathan's offer of help. Harry's leukemia hadtaken a toll on the family, and they were struggling to keep up with the mounting medical bills. But thanks to Nathan, they could finally breathe a little easier.

Her son Henry, sensing his mother's distress, put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Mom, everything is going to be fine. Nathan is really helping us out here, and Harry is getting the treatment he needs. We just need to have faith and keep believing."

Alice looked up at her son and forced a small smile. "You're right, Henry. We just need to have faith and keep working towards Harry's recovery."

Harriet, Alice's oldest daughter, chimed in. "Yes, Mom. Everything happens for a reason, and we just need to trust that it's all part of God's plan." She took her mother's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

I don’t know why Layla has 3 different scenarios of her divorce settlement. That was wasted of money and space in this chapter. SMH
