ARIELLE RUFFALO

My sight was blurry and my eyelids were heavy, I wanted to see if we made it out of the fire, and if Nic was safe. I knew I was safe since I felt the soft sheets under my skin, and my head ached as I tried to wake up. I winced in pain and held my head with my arm, but the pain in my arm took my attention. A saline packet was hung with its wire attached to my hand, I fell back to the sheets again. I looked around to see a familiar ceiling, it was our bedroom.

I blinked back the tears that were flooding my eyes, my life flashed in front of my eyes. I honestly thought that I wouldn't survive.

" Amorina?" his deep husky voice made my heart flutter. He fondly stroked my hair with his eyes screaming with worry. My throat hurt and felt dry
