I opened my eyes and the first thing my eyes met was a white ceiling

“Emma?” I heard a familiar voice and turned to my side to see a blurry face, it took seconds before my sight cleared and I can now see the face properly

“Mr Valmore?”

“Emma thank God you're awake, I was so worried” He hugged me so right that I can barely breathe but I can understand that he's so happy so I let him

“What happened to me? How did I end up here?”

“You didn't remember?” He asked but I shook my head negatively

“You were shot from the back so you passed out” And just like that the memories of everything began to flash into my head, how I took a bullet for Hennesy and told her to run away before I passed out

“Is it Hennesy that shot you?” Mr Valmore asked but I shook my head negatively

“Charles did”

“Oh” He exhaled heavily, but then my mind flashed as something, my eyes traveled down to my tummy immediately as I wrapped my arm around it in a secure manner
