Chapter Seventeen- Book One

Gabriel (POV)

I didn’t want to leave for the office. But it seems an emergency meeting was called, and I had to leave. As the meeting was halfway through and with a lot of arguments, I begin to have an uneasy feeling deep down. The later it got the worse the feeling became. It became so uncomfortable I knew something was wrong and I knew it was the bond between my mate and me. I was suddenly feeling her fear and knew without a doubt she needed me and now.

“Excuse me, gentlemen,” I begin. “We need to continue this at a later date.”

I didn’t wait for an answer, I just stood up left the conference room, and headed toward the stairs. There was no way I could get to her in time taking the car, so I had no choice but to turn and fly. As I climbed the stairs to the roof of the building the feeling began to feel more urgent, so I hurried up the last flight of stairs.
