MADDOX Her eyes flicked to mine, filled with surprise and determination. I had no idea what caused the surprise, but it seemed that she was figuring out that I was not just a handsome face. KALEN I had been making a list of things that I needed to figure out while also preparing a plan of taking on Calvin Stark. There were certain things that I needed to find a way to ask Grandma Tris without arousing suspicion. Primarily regarding ways to counteract hallucinogenic. I knew that Vessel wolves had a higher tolerance for poisons, but I was not certain if there was anything that would help against it. I absolutely fucking hated myself because of the fact that I would have to leave everyone in the dark about what was happening as I got ‘abducted’ by Stark, especially given what everyone was going through right now with Angel being missing.
