My head was pounding when I finally peeled my eyes open. I barely slept at all because I was spiraling. All of the bullshit that I learned last night was fucking with my head.

Maddox was my mate, which was something that I still had no idea what I felt about. He took my first kiss without even asking permission or apologizing for acting like a brute. He was cocky as hell and thought he was the Goddess’ gift to all female kind.

Because of my nifty little ability, I could sense us as mates, and therefore would feel him fucking around with others. Note the sarcasm. I did not blame him because he did not know we were mates. It was not like this was after the bond snapped into place or anything. That would be an entirely different story entirely.

This entire situation was so fucked up that it was not even remotely funny.
