Not werewolf-like

Jayden's POV

“Jovita, Jovita!” I screamed, as I felt her slip away, her heartbeat was slowly fading.

I ran faster, cursing myself for leaving my mate all alone in the first place even after I saw Uriel.

I had heard her say Uriel, and I was sure it was that bastard who was trying to kill her.

My wolf growled again, running faster. I had never known I could go this fast. At this point, my wolf was probably travelling at the speed of light.

I reduced my pace, as I reached the meadow, finding it empty. I came to a halt and tried to detect her location from her scent, as I could neither hear her thoughts, nor her heartbeat anymore.

Her scent felt stronger towards the east of the meadow, so I headed there, praying silently that I wasn't too late. My wolf growled louder at the thought of finding her dead.

I figured out my prayers weren't necessary, as I was shocked to the core when I reached Jovita.
