Jayden's POV

I caught the scent of my mate as I hugged Jade, giving her a peck on her forehead, but when I turned, she was nowhere in sight.

Apologizing to Jade, I went in search of her.

I followed her scent to the lady's restroom but stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do. I saw a group of girls giggling, and staring at me, my presence must have painted a funny picture.

“Jovita”, I called but got no reply. I tried again, but still no reply. I decided she wasn't in there and headed out of the house to continue my search, maybe she had gone home. I decided to trace my way to her house to see if I could find her.

I had run only a few distance when I picked up her scent again. She was sitting on one of the benches the beach provided, a few meters from my home.

I approached her slowly unsure of what to say or do. We hadn't spoken in weeks, and I felt awkward.
