CHAPTER SEVEN

The first hour had gone by and Kaia's still okay. Her stomach was full, the room was warm, and she even had something like a plan.

She was relieved and a bit surprised by the punishment Eton had chosen for her. She had expected worse. At first, Kaia had been a little apprehensive when she devised the plan and worried to get caught in the act, but it all went without any problems.

Eton had bought it. Now that the guy was assured of his own superiority and cleverness, assured that he could see right through her, it would be easier to soften him up and lure him into a false sense of security.

Kaia felt a pang of shame before reminding herself not to be silly. Eton Domino was a criminal. Men like him deserved nothing less. Besides, it wasn’t like she was planning to kill the guy or something.

She just wanted to save herself. She just wanted to go home. That was all.
