Today's laundry day and while I'd much rather be lounging on my couch, snuggled into my favorite blanket, I know if I don't get these clothes washed tonight I'll be stuck wearing whatever's left in my closet to work for the next week. It couldn't be that bad, could it? Well, let me see. I've got an old bridesmaid dress, a swimsuit, and a bunch of black yoga pants, because let's face it, I will always have plenty of black yoga pants.

I talked to my dad earlier. Everything seems good, well good enough, there. He informs me that mom is having an emotional meltdown over some Hollywood actor who got caught cheating on his wife. He lets me know the weather in Washington is turning wet with winter just around the corner and asks if I have any plans to visit. I tell him that I will be sure to get down there for the holidays.

My phone dings, and I gleefully run to see who is texting me happy for the distraction.
