Thaddeus stopped moving his hand and said after a few seconds of silence, “While I was abroad, I had a car accident and spent a month in the hospital. She sent me food every day and told me how to make them.”

Mona nodded. “I see.”

Samantha and Thaddeus knew each other earlier than Mona thought. It turned out that Mona was the third party who broke off the childhood sweethearts.

Thaddeus looked up and fixed his gaze on Mona’s face.
