Chapter 49

Mona was making dinner in the kitchen. Thaddeus removed his suit jacket and rolled up his sleeves. He walked calmly toward the fridge and took out a cold can of soft drink and drank it on his own.

Thaddeus had a leisurely posture. He leaned his long body against the door and squinted his narrow eyes slightly as he watched Mona cook.

He rarely paid attention to his daily routine and had even forgotten that she knew how to cook.

“You know how to cook. Not bad.”

Mona turned her head to look at the man and pouted.

In fact, in their first year of marriage, Mona would prepare a table of food every day, waiting for Thaddeus to get off work for dinner. However, he had many social engagements and came home late. He usually skipped dinner and ate her instead.

“Hiss. It’s hot.”

Mona was not paying attention. The oil in the frying pan splashed on the back of her hand, causing her to subconsciously scream.

Thaddeus was startled. He walked over and asked, “Are you okay?”
