Chapter 12

Mona was petrified.

The man scared her. He must be some psychopath or mentally ill.

“Sir, I’m not Susan Mayers. I’m married, and I have a husband!”

Mona pulled her phone out of her purse. “Look!”

She showed the man her contact history and the contact that she labeled ‘Honey’ was Thaddeus’s number.

The man squinted. His eyes glistened in a dangerous glare.

Afraid that the man did not believe her, she called Thaddeus and turned on speaker mode.

“Honey?”

“What’s the matter?”

“Honey, I’m at Blue Orchid Club, please come and pick me up at room 1208.”

Before Thaddeus could reply, she quickly hung up the phone.

There was no time for her to explain, she had to escape this psychotic man first.

Mona waved her phone at the man’s face as if she was taunting him with the call she had with Thaddeus.

“Sir, my husband is coming to pick me up! I should be leaving!”

The man released her. Disbelief and defeat flashed over his face. He could not accept the fact before his eyes.
