He could barely eat during the breakfast, while everyone made small talk to catch up on what Prince Cornelius had learned in Europe. He had apparently gone there to learn from other werewolf kingdoms and to find his mate.
According to him, she was a princess from Germany and had returned with him when she’d heard that he had a cousin and that she had been kidnapped. Ash simply forced himself to shovel down food, since he knew he needed his full strength if he intended to bring his mate home on his own. He just knew this was going to be another long, drawn-out discussion with too much diplomacy.
None of their mates were abducted and being held prisoner.
Finally once the breakfast was cleared away in the war room, they finally seemed to get themselves situated with coffee to discuss the whole situation. By this time, Ash was already pacing the floor behind his chair, trying to contain both his rage and Blaze.
