When I woke up, I was in my own room sleeping, and I found myself lying down on the bed. Because I was so taken aback by everything, I had to force myself to blink several times. The room exuded a pleasant scent, the walls were white, and the floor was made of wood; all of these details suggested that everything had been rearranged. It reminded me of the home I currently reside in. I had some doubts about where I actually was.

After a short while had passed, I became conscious of the fact that there was another person sitting on the bed next to me. I cocked my head to the side and looked over at Mathew, who was smiling and exclaiming, "you're awake!" as I looked at him.

I couldn't contain my excitement at seeing him and responded with a jubilant "yes."

Mathew got to his feet and moved closer to me before giving me a peck on the cheek and saying, "Thank God you're okay" as he did so.
