EmeraldNine months. The first three months were in Florence, Italy where Jemma taught me. There I learned a lot about my powers, how to control them, and countless hours of practice. I learned spells, how to create my own if need be, and the use of potions. The three months passed by quickly and I wasn't aware of the fact that there would be a deadline when it was all over. Yes, I knew that Jemma was pushing me much harder and faster than I would've thought but I took it and didn't question it. Not until one morning when she said my teachings were over and that I was going to go through with my werewolf training. Of course I had believed that I had more to learn, but with the vagueness of just about everything in witchcraft, I went along with it. I understood that there were a lot of things that I needed to learn on my own and that it wasn't as easy as asking a question and receiving a legitimate answer. There was never anything straightforward when it came to witchcraft. I belie
EmeraldI wiped the sweat off my brow as I prepared breakfast for the restaurant. Though I assisted Raphael, he gave me free reign for breakfast. We worked together for lunch and dinner and desserts were either or. Though I liked cooking just about any food amongst breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert- my favorites were breakfast and desserts. As I finished this plate for a customer, I placed it on the going out window, and the waiter on the other side instantly took it. As I moved onto the next dish, I was suddenly pulled away from my working trance. "Chef Emmy," one of the prep cooks said. He easily gained my attention as I washed my hands to work on the next dish. "You have a call."I scrunch my brows together in confusion, wondering who could possibly be contacting me at work nonetheless. Drying my hands on a cloth, I make my way to the phone, taking whoever it was off hold. "Bonjour," I say. "Emerald," says the person on the other line. I grew confused when I heard her voice.
Emerald I was to meet Jemma in a secluded alleyway after I went to the places that I often went to these last three months. After having wiped the memory of myself from my realtor, I went to the nearby cafe where I always had my coffee and pastries. Local grocer. The restaurant. Etc etc etc. I honestly didn't think I needed to go to all the places that I did but, unlike how I used to be, I was social. People in France were welcoming and I liked talking to them so even places I went to a few times I had to go erase my memory for fear that if my picture came up, no one would recognize it. Of course the hardest thing to erase was the restaurant. I truly found that place as where I would make a name for myself. But as I was going around I soon realized that it made sense as to why fate had it that my brothers were now on my trail again. The nagging feeling I had about the prophecy- the journey I needed to fulfill- had been on hold. And if it were left to me, I would've ignored it for th
EmeraldAfter looking around the room for what seemed like the millionth time, we ended up back in the living room, sitting on the Victorian plush couch. I couldn't get over how much I loved this space and though it was decorated by Jemma, how much it related to me. "So how long did you live here for?" I questioned. "Malena and I both lived in Clarke when we were younger. We grew up in this town up until we developed our powers. We had to leave but I had made this place my home and found it tough to leave.""So how have you been able to keep it this whole time?""Well I'm part tenant of this building, a good friend of mine owns it with me so a perk was free rent. I still help pay though, send her money once a month.""Does she...""No she doesn't know. I was always the adventurous type so when I told her abruptly that I was going to Italy she didn't question it. Our agreement was she wouldn't rent out the space and I would pay for half of it as if I had rented it. So she kept it up
EmeraldSIX MONTHS LATER...The constant blaring of my alarm, which was right next to mine, woke me from peaceful sleep. I awoke, my head deep in the plush pillows, my hair still damp from my bath last night, all over the place. I was honestly grateful for this plush queen sized bed, it was absolutely heavenly. Which only made it harder for me to get out of bed everyday at the crack of dawn. Easily slamming my hand on the off button of my alarm clock, I rolled over in between my sheets, soon realizing that I was again naked. Only time that I woke up naked was when the night before I had another unbearable night of hot flashes. The term "hot flashes'' couldn't even begin to describe how I felt. The fact that I found myself always getting bags of ice nearly every week for this occasion was beyond miserable. It had started off as an everyday thing, having gone on for two weeks straight. Only time I left my apartment was to go to the grocery store to get ice because I wasn't sure when th
Anonymous POV.After Garret and Kimberly got dressed, they went their separate ways. As he made his way to his father's office- well his office- he tried to make sense of what his father had said. About their being rogue on his territory for months and how he never caught it. His father was always paranoid, parts of what made him a good alpha for so long. Usually, with his paranoia, he ended up being right the majority of the time. He knocks and waits for his father's approval to enter. Not too long after he heard his frustrated and tired voice respond to him. Hadn't even been back from vacation for an hour and he was already becoming stressed. Garret couldn't lie, he felt guilty about the fact that his father who deserved a vacation had to come back and handle this supposed rogue. Walking inside, he sees his father at his desk, going through files. "I'll give you this," Darryl began, "You stayed on top of your paperwork.""I knew I'd never heard the end of it if I didn't," Garret
Anonymous POV.Plans were in motion.Best trackers and high leveled wolves were put on task to find the rogue, half on foot, the other in their wolf form. While the human form once roamed the intricate town, not raising suspicion whatsoever, the others roamed the various woods that they had surrounding the small town. Garret and his father roamed on foot together, partnering up with one another to prove each other wrong. Garret still held true to the fact that there wasn't a rogue because he would've felt it along with his pack, but yet when his father gets here that's all he can feel. It didn't make sense. No ounce of distraction can make someone not feel someone crossing the border, it would've shifted the atmosphere. But nonetheless, to get his father off his back, he engaged with the search. Throughout the pack mind link, everyone was saying that they haven't spotted or smelt anything and that it was a waste of time. Obviously, Darryl had his barriers up because he remained quie
Emerald's POV.They had caught onto me. I knew it was a matter of time but it still surprised me nonetheless. I had become comfortable here and believed that no one could possibly know now that it had been so long since I've arrived. Oh, how I was wrong. I stayed in the back while they spoke to Rhoda. Being in the locker room made me believe that Rhoda didn't know that I was there so when she answered about someone being new she wasn't particularly lying. But something felt that she was hiding me, which I was thankful for but also confused about. Having left magically to avoid being seen by the Alpha and his son, I was here in my apartment, freaking out. What was I going to do? I couldn't stay here, could I? They were onto me and it would be a matter of time before they scoped me out. I couldn't risk that. I was a rare breed as well as a witch, the repercussions of my capture could be gruesome and something I couldn't bear after what my brothers did. It didn't matter if I could
