Chapter 22: Instant Wife

As soon the two arrived at the hotel, Serene confronted Darrem. She wants to ask him about what he said earlier to her sister while they are in the car but she chose to ask him privately.

“What did you just say to Vanna?” She wanted to hear his explanation, if he was joking around or he was serious, whatever it is this will lead to disaster.

Darrem loosened his tie for a bit and surrendered his hands in the air. “Relax, Serene. Don't yell at me. Remember I'm the one paying you.”

Serene frustratedly sighed. She sat on the sofa with her head down. She cannot imagine the scenarios tomorrow. She'll be meeting her dad and stepmother. Vanna seems convinced about Darrem's lie and this mess up everything.
