Chapter 8

Immediately they went into the hospital, Denise pulled herself out of hiding. She watched as they clasped their hands together and headed into the hospital like newlyweds. Her phone rang to disrupt her array of thoughts. She quickly left to find a cab. Her phone kept blaring until she answered it.

“Where are you? It’s late…”

Denise sniffled her nose in a bid not to breakdown into tears.

“Hey...Can you hear me?” Angela’s voice asked from other end of the call.

Denise looked around yet, she couldn’t see any cab that would pull over to take her to her destination. “Angela…please can you…”

Before she could complete her statement, she sighted a cab and screamed…”stop! Please…”

Fortunately, the cab pulled over. “I’m spending the night at my house. I’ll see you tomorrow” she told Angela immediately she got into the cab.

The ride was quiet short. Denise hurried out of the car as soon as she paid the cab driver double the usual pay. She flung the gate open and jerked off to the living room
