Day.

The name became a constant in my thoughts. I always find myself thinking of him whenever I wasn't doing anything.

I can't explain how it happened, but it seemed Day now occupied my thoughts more than my husband does.

“Are you ready for your Exams?” Miguel asked when I finally came downstairs.

“I'm more than ready.” I grinned. “I've been ready all night.”

“And it still took you an hour to get dressed?” He raised a brow at me.

I blushed in embarrassment. “I was trying to dress to perfection. You can't fault me for that.”

I had to change my clothes more than thrice before I decided on the one to wear, and that happened to be a button-down red shirt and black jeans. After long deliberation, I decided it was better to be simple.

“Let's go.” Miguel turned and started for the door.

“I haven't had breakfast yet. We can't—” I started to protest, but a glare from Miguel was all it took to shut me up.
