Sam POV
FUCK! FUCK!
Why is this happening now? Ten more minutes and we could have finished the mating process. But no, someone just had to attack tonight.
“Who is attacking?” I yelled through the door while I grabbed some sweats and a sweater for us.
“Rogues, Alpha. They came out of nowhere.” Said the young warrior. Well at least it is not Alester, I thought to myself.
“Alright, get all the civilians in the safe house. Your Luna and I will take care of it.” I ordered
“Yes, Alpha.” He replied. I could hear him leaving, I walked back over to the bed. " Darling, we have to go downstairs to take care of this. I will do most of the work since you don't know how to use your powers yet. Just stay behind me and stay hidden. They may be here for you." I said trying to hide my unease.

Alester POVI gathered the wolves in the courtyard. "Follow me. We will be attacking the Full Moon pack." I ordered and the wolves howled in response. I began my shift, it was very painful. Sam POVThat Bastard! I ran up the stairs as fast as I could. I have to get to Aimee, I have a very bad feeling. I reached the top of the stair and breath a sigh of relief. She was safe, sitting on the couch, with two barriers around her. Wait! Two barriers? I can't even do that. How is she doing that? She had one around her and two guards. Sam POVDuring dinner, my father-in-law and I discussed pack-related issues and Aimee just chatted with her mom and her brother. I don't know why, occasionally she would hide herself making me touch her leg to make sure she wasn't too far away. At some point, I got caught up talking that I didn't notice she had gotten up until I saw her at the top of the stairs. Not saying a word, I stand up and quickly go to the kitchen to rinse my bowl. Sam POVIt didn't take long for Aimee to fall asleep. She was exhausted by the time she made it to bed. I had asked her if she wanted me to stay up with her but she said I had things to do in the morning and need my rest. She was right but it was so lonely in bed alone. I caught a few chances to watch her take care of the infants and toddlers. She was magnificent. I know for a fact she will be the best mom ever. She was so attentive to each child like they were the only ones in the world. My heart swelled each time I watched her in admiration and awe.
