Luca's housekeeper or rather a chef, Harriet, greeted us warmly, immediately offering to make us lunch. I nodded politely, but her presence still felt like a thorn in my side. I had no reason to feel this way but knowing that there was a direct replacement under Luca's roof to being his eye upset me.

Even if it took me long to admit. I wanted Luca for myself.

Harriet prepared us a light, healthy meal of salad and grilled fish, but I could barely bring myself to take a bite, different emotions running through my veins.

Luca was eating satisfactorily and it upset me also.

“Is something wrong with the food?” Luca suddenly asked like he noticed I was moody. How does he know every single thing?
