Chapter 52

Killian's POV

It wasn't my proudest moment but I wasn't gonna take it back. It felt somewhat like a payback for inviting my parents over without my consent.

I could imagine it, the yellow tape at my back as the crime scene was investigated, if only this went wrong.

I mindlessly searched for my phone while simultaneously searching my memory for the last time I had seen it. My brain was more lazy than my fingers were. Thankfully, I found it in my front pocket. I dialed Stephen’s number and he picked after the third ring.

“You just left my place, Killian. What could you possibly want?” I could hear the wrecking fatigue in his voice.

I shook my head, a sad attempt to clear the overhead haze that kept swinging me in directions I didn't want to fall in. I decided to rest my back against the wall outside her suite, looking side to side to see if anyone was coming.

“I think I just did something shitty and I feel sick in the depths of my stomach..” I muttered into the phone.
